He gasped. The monitors showed a crash so awful, no one could survive it. Surely the two agents were gone.
It was horrible. It simply couldn't be. Did this mean that he would never see that beautiful face again? Never see those liquid eyes, never hear that sharp wit? Never watch that soft hair blow in the breeze?
He rushed to the control banks. He had to find out - had to know if he would ever see his love again!
Trembling, he raised the mic to his lips.
"Victor! Are you still alive??"
